Contractor Chaos

He laid the new floor over the old floor w/o removing the existing floor. Same problem in Kitchen, and Bathroom

Large warps occurred. In several places the front door to the apartment would not close, due to the warp.
Then he sliced off part of the front door. After that his workers scratched the new floor when they cut the front door lower part, in order to allow the Fronr Door to close. .
I wrote this essay on May 2020. This is now 2 years later; the floor shows lots of bulges. It is still warping.
Of course I told him to take out the old floor before laying the new floors down.

Both closets with sliding doors would not close over the warps. He had to fix one of them, the other warped after 1.5 years. At that point I stopped talking to him.
However he was so disorganized, that my 3 month sublet in the neighborhood ran out, before he laid the floor down. At that point I had to rent a hotel room in Queens, and overseeing the job became much more difficult.
I sublet an apartment on my floor but he could not get anything done on time. His work took more than 6 months and I had to move to a hotel in Queens. More than six months work for a studio apt.

Since I have medical issues, he did not focus on that aspect, but he was unable to run the job sucessfully.
Because of him, I was hospitalized after the floor in the kitchen area warped around the stove and threw me to the ground.

The area around the refrigerator buckled, and threw me to the floor in the kitchen and caused injury. I was hospitalized from this.
This split my head and required surgery. I was sent to Bellevue with a head injury, a large crack in my skull. He may not be aware that the seizure was caused by the cracked skull, from the sudden warping of the area around the stove.

After one year, a group of fleas started growing in the warped kitchen floor and knocked down the light cover which then cracked. The fleas nestled in one of the bulging in the kitchen floor area. At this point the light fixture cover cannot correctly secured.
He was unable to make a list of work to be done. I made one he but he refused to follow it.
His brother stole my step ladder, I reported it to Eddy he did nothing about this. Several other item were missing (oddly an electric razor, a mop).
His brother, a sweet kid, left razor blades in my dressing cabinet. Which the contarcter assured me that his workers would not open.
His work made my couch so filthy I had to throw it out, so I bought a new one. He could not control the work flow.

Somehow his workmen broke two tables. They seemed to have an issue: They rarely brought a ladder, but instead used my shower bench to stand on. But they had no issue taking my step ladder, when they ended work. After one time they used a car to bring some tools.

The elecrical outlets were left around the bed area (in my main room) just taped up; not attached in any standard professional manner.

In the kitchen area I ordered custom shelving, at his direction, from Home Depot. He mismeasured the area. Thus the custom made shelves did not fit.

He blamed the mismeasure on Home Depot, However, I went back to them and they had no record of their personnel measuring the kitchen.
He left a diagram for where the kitchen shelves should extend. It was so incorrect, that when the shelves arrived the would not fit. He had to swap out the stove and refrigerator to fit the space that was left.
The replacement stove came with a grill covering on the top burner that could not be handled with my disability
(I have no use of my right arm or hand). The top grill is 2 large solid pieces. The stove I bought had the normal separate covers for each top burner.
One has to wonder where his mind was during the job. Most professionals keep a list of tasks to be completed.
Clearly he has deep emotional issues, to make so many bad mistakes.
Remember this is a small studio apartment. I finally put a stop work order buthe would not quit.

I actually stopped paying him, since he went very far over budget that we agreed on.It took a while but I convinced him to stop showing up.

I hired a couple of other, contractors since they had to work on his unfinished kitchen sink area, all quality went South.

He kept his voice mail off of his phone thus the only way you could contact him was text.
He was rarely on the job site and spent most of his time bidding for other jobs. I know because he left his leather briefcase in one of my unfinished closets; so I saw him when he returned to pick it up. Who knows where he was?

Many items were damaged of mine my desk and table. So his workers had to repair them.

He used my shower bench as a ladder; his men Rarely brought their own ladder. I assume that is how his workers took my step ladder.

Many areas of the floor are warped which means I cannot sweep up easily, since I only have use of one hand and one arm.
