Subway Leg Grabbing

On Friday Dec 2, 2016 I was on the #6 subway coming back from a Hunter College event in the West Building about Six in the evening. The train was so crowded with customers that when the doors opened at 59th St. I was pushed out the door, while trying to let those out who wished to exit.

As I was pushed my paralyzed right foot and ankle slipped between the subway train and the edge of the platform.

Thus my leg was pinned by the train. to make matters worse, the passengers crowded around me: some were trying to exit and some gathered around me to see what all the stress was about, and a few tried to hold on to me as I started to further slip down under the train.

Refer to NYPD transit district or TP04 863;po NIWA Sh007 (212-253-7511)

My acquired ability to stay calm in crisis , allowed me to Explain to all the helpers who were holding my up from further sliding. I loudly told the crowd to step back and let the helpers who were holding me, and then slowly had the helpers lift my right leg vertically -- taking care to Explain that 1) the ankle is paralyzed with no useful control 2) my muscle tone will force my right toes under the train (which is the last thing we want).

With all that , we began the foot extraction with shoe + leg'brace' dangling towards the tracks.

That must has been some Gap in the Track at the 59th #6 local Lexington Manhattan route.
