Andy Polon

Andy Polon is a versatile guitarist, teacher, and singer-songwriter from New York City. He learned country blues and ragtime guitar from Reverend Gary Davis and is very much at home in these idioms. He has also studied and become quite adept at rock, jazz, and classical guitar styles. During the 1970s, he was a well-known performer on the then-substantial New York area coffee house circuit. He now performs extensively throughout the northeastern United States and tours occasionally in Great Britain and western Europe.

Andy spends a considerable portion of his time working in ensemble settings. He has played with numerous bands, done a substantial amount of studio work and accompanied such well-known artists as Mary Travers (of Peter, Paul, and Mary) and Raun Mackinnon. His solo album, Mad Metropolis is on ADP records.
